The lofty and majestic Jinggang Mountains, covering 670 square km, tower in the central part of Mount Luoxiao and stretch over the border of Hunan and Jiangxi provinces. It is ranged among "China Forty Best Tourist Attractions" and the cradle of the Chinese revolution. Guo Moruo marveled in his lines when touring the mountains, "After visiting Jinggangshan, no mountain will be an attraction."

Natural Sceneries

The breathtaking mountains boast 100-odd peaks unique in shape, of the peaks, some look like tigers leaping over the deep stream, appearing in all their glory as if they were made by uncanny craftsmanship. The Nanping Peak, a sheer rise of thousands of feet, stretches for tens of miles, with hard rocks rocketing into the sky. The rocks in the shape of birds of beasts look so lifelike that they seem to change according to your imagination.

The Five Fingers Peak with an elevation of 1583 meters, is the highest peak and major symbol of Jinggangshan. It is so named because the peak, when standing together, resembles five fingers. The fame of the Five Fingers Peak grows with the print of its picture on 100-yuan RMB bill.

The waterfalls on Jinggangshan can rarely be found in other places across the world. Jinggangshan boasts a large area of mountains with rich vegetation. When floating halfway up to the mountain, it becomes strips of clouds; when drifting among the peaks, it turns into the valley for. If the shines over the clouds at the moment, a fantastic mirage will appear. The whole scene is as intoxicating as a fairyland.
